I owned a previous generation of Leaf Hog (plastic impeller) and loved it. When finally broke (engine off, I think, burned), the leaf was almost worn through the collection bag. A real workhorse for me 4 or 5 years of great benefit. When it broke I bought a Taurus in the same range in price $ 80-100. Big Mistake. Swapping the fan of Toro to choppers / VAC mode was a nightmare. The Blower / Vac perfomed very well. The new metal mulching blades are a great improvemnt from the old type of plastic. The bag zipperless is easy to empty. There are strips of nylon pocket, where the leaves must be that for some reason I can not understand, but they seem to be fraying run as leaves and also with nylon sutures and the federal government should be sought. You need to be drawn by hand. The variable speed is great around flower beds mulched. You can create enoughAspiration to keep the leaves, without a lot of litter. It is adjustable to a little 'more or less, depending on what aspiration is collecting added. Overall this is a great improvement over older models.

One of the best tools in order not to remove the leaves from the lawn, hard to finish and cut my time will come. Variable speed is a great feature. I recommend this product.

I was looking for a pine needle effectively void. I bought a B & D unit and the equivalent model Taurus. Are almost identical in size, shape, weight, indications, performance, price, and even their red color. Both products are powerful vacuum can be quite good, but sucking on pine needles is only 50 and 70% effective either brand. But it is disappointing, especially in my rocks, stones and gravel, land on which the calculation is impractical. Although both use metal blades, the B & D has anotherbetter job of mulching leaves.
