Now that the band split on the sides of the box and were able to reach them directly!
No packaging, only the parts had been thrown on the box too big for the voice as well.

Husqvarna 125BVX 28cc 2-Stroke Gas Powered 170 MPH Handheld Leaf Blower/Vacuum
Needed a new blower vac (well, wanted would be a more accurate description) and was torn between the Husky and the Stihl 86 C-E. Was lucky enough to have a neighbor who also wanted one, so we worked out a deal where I would buy both and then sell him the one I didn’t want for the price I paid (plus a case of beer).
So, picked them both up. Hard decision, but after a couple of weeks of use, I went with the Stihl. A summary of what I found to be the major points for each:
Build quality – both are excellent. The Stihl feels a bit more stout, but the Husky is no slouch.
Starting – again, pretty much a dead heat. No problems with either one when starting cold or hot.
Comfort – slight edge to the Stihl. The anti-vibration handle does work well, and it generally feels more comfortable to use. It’s a close call, however – I can see where the Husky could feel better for some people.
Blowing – again, pretty much a dead heat. I couldn’t tell the difference even though the Stihl’s specs are a bit better in terms of air flow volume. Both got the job done very well.
Vac – this is my main use for this machine, and the area that swung me over to the Stihl. The shredder blade is more robust in the Stihl, and it can tackle a larger volume of material faster and easier than the Husky. While the Husky was a lot more clog resistant than the Echo I tried, it did clog up once on me, whereas the Stihl just kept chugging along.
The Stihl costs more, but in my area is easier to get serviced. You’ll want to check in your area for service places for the Husky. If service is available and you mainly want to use it as a blower, save a few bucks and get the Husky. It’s an excellent machine that, with proper care (especially when it comes to gas) will give you years of good service. However, if you want to mainly use it as a vac, the extra money is well spent on the Stihl.
I’ll give it five stars, but 4.5 stars is a more accurate rating due to the vac performance.

I’ve only used the blower a few times, but so far I really like it. It’s lightweight and easy to maneuver and, once you get the hang of how to aim it to make the leaves go where you want them to go, it’s just plain fun to use. It made such quick work of de-leafing the back deck and front porch, I was tempted to use it inside for a quick housecleaning (begone, dust bunnies!) however, good sense prevailed. I mulch the leaves with a mulching mower and the blower helped herd them into a manageable area. The long extension cord I used was a small hassle so I ordered one of those winder-things and we’ll see how that works. I will no longer dread Fall cleanup.

I purchased theToro 51585 Power Sweep 7 Amp 2-Speed Electric Blower for the purpose of blowing leaves off my back deck. I removed almost all the leaves on the low power setting before I new there were two speeds available. The high speed is not necessary; however, where the leaves were wet, it came in handy. The power of this blower is tremendous, especially for the price.

Fool me once shame on you, Fool me twice shame on me. I was stupid enough to stick this into a closet until I needed to use it. I have a friend that usually blows my deck off for me. Now months after I received the blower I opened it. The factory plastic bag had already been torn open where the blower had been once removed. Upon looking over the blower casing I found damage in two places where the blower looks as if it has been dragged and the black paint was rubbed off in two narrow lines, one on each side. At the same time of purchase I did buy the correct extension cord to go with the machine. The blower’s ability on the low setting was almost useless. The setting on high did the job on my deck. High setting had an amazing amount of power in contrast to the low setting. The small lighter size is good, that is a real plus for me. I really should have opened the box and looked at the merchandise given my experience with receiving used merchandise from Amazon.
Amazon is always very good about taking care of the problem. This time I have waited too long to say anything since it is well over the 30 day period. Just remember returns go right back into stock and that includes bedding items from my experience.
I never hesitate to send anything back because I am ordering new merchandise not used. I’ll have to respect Amazon’s rules, only because after this long I wouldn’t have a case. Just be warned. Think if I had given this as a gift.

While lightweight, it is quite capable of blowing lots of leaves out of the driveway and off the patio. I love it!

Although my BV2500 has developed the major problem cited in many reviews,it took more than 10 years of high volume leaf vacuuming before it failed. Had 1/2 acre with many trees (60 plus) now have 1/3 acre with several. It did as good a job as any homeowner line of tools could be expected to. No tears in the shoulder bag although 99% of the time I use the leaf collection system and no noticable impeller wear (of course I didn’t try to vacuum any items that it wasn’t intended for (rocks large twigs etc.), Silly old me, I try to use a tool for what it is intended (leaves). Will I buy another? You bet I just ordered one today, and if it only lasts several years I’m still way ahead, at .00 Amazon) no tax and free delivery. Use it for what it is and take care of it as you would all your other tools.

You can’t beat the guarantee for these units , when they wear out you just take it to a repair store and they give you a new one. very handy with the trash can unit for picking up large volumes of leaves.

Not worth the money or effort, it constantly clogs up, so you need to constantly unclog it. I rather rake and pick the leaves up myself, it’s quicker….

I have the optional trashcan attachment, it really makes vaccing up leaves less of a hassle.

I bought this B&D because I grew tired of using my plug-in electric version. Let’s face it, it’s a drag to haul out a 60 foot extension cord just to sweep some dust and leaves off the patio. I also own a gas-powered version, but it’s the same deal with that – I save it for the truly big jobs.
So, this battery powered sweeper is a good buy – but the buyer should be aware that he is not getting something you could do a Saturday’s worth of yard work with. I also recommend having a spare battery always charged, as the thing just runs out of juice too fast.
I’m glad I bought it because I just keep it in my back yard and when I need to sweep away dirt/dust, it’s handy enough for that. But don’t bother using this for any real work.

I have used this blower 4 times and find it to be lacking in wind velocity to move light debri from the garage floor and outside deck. I expected it to be close to the power of my Toro plug in blower’s lower speed but it is not. I can blow out the garage in less then 60 seconds with the electric blower but the cordless one takes several minutes and agravating effort when use to something better. I bought it for the convenience of not needing to plug in and wind up a cord. The blower works OK for very light duty stuff, but the durations get ever shorter and shorter. I’ve had mine for a few years now, and the only saving grace is it came with 2 batteries. I get about 5 minutes out of a charge now if I’m lucky.
So yes ….. this is more or less an adult toy …..weak and cheap. Replacement batteries are grossly overpriced considering the performance they offer. . . they should be about .

The blower works OK for very light duty stuff, but the durations get ever shorter and shorter. I’ve had mine for a few years now, and the only saving grace is it came with 2 batteries. I get about 5 minutes out of a charge now if I’m lucky.
So yes ….. this is more or less an adult toy …..weak and cheap. Replacement batteries are grossly overpriced considering the performance they offer. . . they should be about .
