I bought this 4-stroke obsolete BHX2500 Makita fan to replace an aging unit entry-level 26cc Homelite, broken gas and sounded like a jet engine. Buy Even with 1 year warranty Makita CPO, I hesitated for a unit has been refurbished – but the price was so good and the reviews of brand new models so positive, I thought why not.
The Makita was very clean, virtually as new, with only very minor wear to show that were ever used. Found inrecommended 10W-30 oil, gas, regular (not a two-stroke oil filled with problems … definitely a plus!) and fired at him. He began to draw the second, and started first try every time since. I was one of my old speed used Homelite and His ear-splitting howl, is a pleasant surprise for the four-stroke engine, well below purrs along to hear the advanced level. When I press the shutter button to choke the goose, wakes up right, but even at full power is only as strong as a small hair dryer.I have relatives who were stronger than this thing had. I had this book 4 stars because what it does, it does. But on my unit, the higher speed only works with the bag. I called Black & Decker to see if I was doing was wrong, but no. It seems it was just poor! It was also a type 2 (of 4 types of fact, he told me), so that is the last image of the spinal cord is completely different than the unit I received. It seems that the image is either a type 3 or 4 Type a remembered (I found) and 2 are different. It was not a small cableComing Out to connect to my extension. Instead, there was only one round with two points projecting into the pocket on the back of the unit.
Amazon is now completely out of the factory reconditioned models, but was kind of my unit with a brand new, free of charge and replaced with a day free shipping! Thanks, Amazon! The fact that one step further for a million reasons why I actually sold, rather than with products from another Amazon seller, although it isIt 's a bit more expensive.

I received this and had them installed in a jiffy. It starts easily and does a decent job for a 24 cc engine.
CONS: It 's been running at high speed lean out of the box. The fuel mixture adjustments are easily accessible, but can not be adjusted EASY!
(EPA strikes again!)
After experimenting with different instruments, I could turn the screw at high speed. If I have to make further adjustments, I cut slots the screw heads with a Dremel tool.
I did not buy this feature is vacuum-like suction very boring. This is a good product sales, but is, in my opinion. Also, if you vacuum up rocks or other hard objects, probably break the fan.

I purchased one of these as a replacement for an identical one I had for years. I just worn the thing out.

local small engine mechanic and he adjusted the carb and this thing starts and run great. He
suggested using a fuel additive called Star Tron, seems the ethanol in gasoline is hard on the
these engines. Little bottle will last forever.
If you’ve never owned 2-cycle engines you really need to read and understand the starting procedures cause these things will really piss you off if you can’t get them to run. They’re
pretty temperamental, but once you figure them out, they’ll run for years with very little maintenance.
I bought one of those red TORO electric blowers and its nice, but I despise breaking out the darn extension cord every time I mow the yard. more power to ya!

Officine Blower is very good and great shredder, but with a switch to another is awkward.My old machine had a lever that could be moved to change, while the mower bag remained in place. The old woman could barely blow leaves off the grass, but also on the track. All these shots, no matter where you are. Good product at a great price.
